A phenomenal robotic healthcare system installed in hospitals nationwide solved the country’s doctor shortage. But is this system the medical miracle everyone thought it would be or something more devious? 

 

Mysterious deaths occur under the watchful eye of SERAPH, this “error-free” technology, drawing scrutiny from Dr. Abby McLeod, a compassionate and determined doctor in rural Washington State. Questions about the system’s medical reliability compel her to investigate the system’s programming. She reaches out to the most qualified ally she knows, Pete Masters, a brilliant D.C. computer analyst and ethical hacker.

 

The problem is, Pete is her ex-fiancé, and helping Abby would open unhealed wounds of a non-medical cause. Swamped with malfunctioning code bases, computer-illiterate officials, and impending deadlines, Pete has his own problems to solve. But as the dominos fall, he finds his own reasons to doubt SERAPH.

 

Human dignity and the sanctity of life hang in the balance. Will Abby and Pete put their past aside and learn to work together as they race against time to discover the truth before more lives are lost, including their own?
